This game is so close to being good
it's kinda sad
if you crank the settings (not on by default) it looks better
the biggest misstep is the really underwhelming dungeon mechanics
and bad starter weapon
your pistol has a short max range (to encourage moving I guess)
but movement is the part of the game that feels the worst, since it's the one thing not in time to the music
even if the walking sound effect is
it's worth trying, but I don't have a lot of faith in it getting any better, since the devs seem to have stealth dropped the game and disapeared
if it had better dungeoning, even 1/4 as good as BoI
I think that would fix it

the transition is 100% just so you hear your footsteps
since it's the only part of the game where you hear them
the part I like is that there's no tutorial, since it's such an easy concept to grasp
I was almost expecting a necro-dancer hand-holding at first
but to its credit they drop you right in
