I did not realize beating the game adds an entire postgame hard version of puzzles section

The purple ones were all hard versions of other puzzles

its why polu and I had an exact system for the button one already

so could we have completed the green room without purple gourds?

no

green room requires post game + the extra ones we did not do in the main area

so collecting extra gourds was pointless until after beating the game, then you could use those in combo with purple gourds to complete the postgame

you could not get the purple until you beat the game

right, so even if we started collecting gourds beyond the ones needed to beat the game first time around, we never would have been able to do anything with them, never would have been able to fill a room with just those excess regular gourds
