they're releasing studios with their IPs and full rights to published games
and I don't think it's for earning "nice" points
it'll be gradual, and we'll see if we start getting rumors about wtf they're doing with Project Scarlet, their nextgen xbox
because if that gets shelved or farmed out, Microsoft's move is to probably take the 5-10 tentpole game franchises they have, and just make a single publisher from them

all EA, the closest thing Microsoft has is Flight Sim sorta
they have other profitable IP, but not any that would be kept in some sort of post-Microsoft game studio

The failure of... essentially all Western AAA games is absurd at this point, es6 probably does well enough (look at Obliv remake) but not record shattering
Fallout will benefit from all the media around, but how long until that's out, and will it even be a fully-fledged Fallout 6
