Question for Phijkchu
How many (non-Nintendo) games have you fully played both the original and the remake for
I had this realization thinking about AssCreed Black Flag's new remake
that I think my answer is zero
If you count DS2 (which is not a remake), that might be the closest thing for me
Idk about full remakes, but I’ve definitely played through some remasters that were non-Nintendo
What's on your list Vinny?
Oh I guess Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded is a remake, so there’s that
But there’s KH1 on the HD collection, the last of us remastered, god of war 3 remastered, uncharted 1-3 (the Nathan drake collection counts as a remaster I think?), Legacy of Kain soul reaver remastered, and I’m about half way through Bravely Default HD
Playing through NG3 twice is masochistic
Hats off to you phyrric
I’m sure there’s more that I’m not thinking of, but that’s like the main things that came to mind
Did you play the original persona 3/4 and their remakes?
I've not played the remakes, but they're at least somewhat likely I get around to
Same with the new Trails remake remake
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 Did you play the original persona 3/4 and their remakes? (edited)
I’ve not finished any version of 3 or 4, but I’m in October in P3P and in June or July in P4G
0 I think
3 when we get to Rance I-III
Oh right isaacexists
maybe 6 or 7

store.steampowered.comI didn't realize they literally had SweetBabyInc doing the translation
no wonder
I remember now why I never finished Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge. I kept restarting the game to increase my Karma rating (which you use to buy upgrades), since there is no where to grind in that game. Playing Razor's Edge revealed something in me that makes me not want to play Bayonneta. "Oh you'd love Bayonneta. It's hard", I don't like games that judge me. I'd love for someone to give me a Dark Souls game, but no one ever gives me those.

Bohrdom
This is technically a skill-based, non-violent asymmetrical fighting game loosely derived from a chemistry model that is itself loosely based on reality. Alternatively, think of it as a hybrid of a bullet hell and a racing game, with the inclusion of self-propelled pinballs. If you love chemistry or physics, you'll probably enjoy this. If you…
store.steampowered.comI'm getting in contact with this guy to collab on the next PhijkchuGames project
The dev is super interesting, and he's local to me
Same
nah fuck that
if you don't feel strongly, that's the same as a negative review
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 if you don't feel strongly, that's the same as a negative review
same as the *status quo
Steam should have neutral, positive, and negative. And every steam page shows you the top positive, the top neutral, and the top negative

And I agree with this. Too many people want to leave neutral reviews because they didn’t like something, but they feel bad giving negative reviews.
You should have a pass, fail, or whimsy rating
for reviews
I don't think neutral is really needed. the review content and the positive/negative are basically seperate
you do positive/negative for if you want to reward or punish the game
and then you write whatever you feel like for the actual review
if you want to do an evaluation or critical analysis with a score attached you should do that somewhere else, not on steam review
the review content you could mainly break down into shitposts, venting frustrations, dick sucking the developers / hype riding, trying to actually write a helpful "you should buy this if / be aware of this" review, and then people trying to use it like mal or etc
adding neutral would push certain categories of those reviews into avoiding giving a thumbs/down rating which in steam's eyes would just reduce the "accuracy" of the review score
since it biases the review score to account more for certain types of review mindsets than others
Pirate's take is really good
