I finished 100%ing the spyro reignited trilogy. Spyro 3 fucking sucked

The devs probably had no idea
or rather, the team responsible for promotions
they probably saw "oh, people like to post this with cute child characters, okay we will make an emote"
I feel like it's the kind of thing that's used so often ironically/as a joke that some people will of course take it seriously and start using it as a legit "dogwhistle" but I don't like the concept of painting something as black and white "this is a dogwhistle" when someone uses it.
My favourite part about the game discourse is the crying emote has been drown out by right wing grifters posting clips of women freaking out at the cute child saying "this is dismantling left/jewish mind control, teaching gamers it is normal to want to have children"
