and the cats are like spirit people, but in the end the cats and lizards basically no one knows how they came to exist and they have no root to the actual gods

the entire world of elder scrolls though including the gods and history between every single game is a thinly veiled battle of man and mer (elf)

so im more okay with their races because theyre not treated as singular cultures and are heavily tied to the actual world and history

I think most race storytelling is lazy, and in general they're usually just not that creative to begin with I like elves/dwarves, I'm not shitting on the tolkien-centricism or anything
i agree its almost always to fall back to something

playing on hardware is just more fun tbh, even if it's easier to play on an emulator. I'll always prefer busting out my handheld.
"ill always prefer busting"

Epic is laying off about 1000 employees. Fortnite didn't do as well as expected in 2025.
My b guys. I stopped playing. I said id play if they added the hot Martian from Duck Dodgers though

why do they have so many employees in the first place (edited)
Probably covid/fortnite had a large boom in players again in the last year or so. This is Epic though and not exclusively Fortnite

I'm not going to longpost yet, but I'm convinced about something in Crimson Desert Act 1 (2-3 hours): Very Korean opening that everyone agrees you kind of have to push past Act 2 (10-15 hours): World opens up, and the game is great, teases some of the midgame/endgame systems Act 3 (5-7 hours): Weird out-of-place RDR2/Genshin style character re-introduction and HEAVY-handed earlygame system tutorials
Cont. Act 4 (2-3 hours): I'm not sure why this was its own act, re-introduces some stuff from Act 1 and was probably initially when the game was supposed to unlock fast travel, before they realized that doing that 20-30 hours in would be insane Act 5 (10-15 hours): Narratively, this is "Act 2" since it kicks off the actual story, also the point in the game where you're expected to understand the meta/world mechanics
