As someone who follows a fair number of these old-school MMO projects
they all have this issue that they have enough money for their team to fuck around; seemingly forever
but as soon as they "launch" they immediately put themselves on this money timer where they're always 1-month from shutting down if they don't hit some absurd revenue goal
That's proven wrong by every gacha ever though
the issue isn't getting players into a new game, it's having the right mix of launch content, consistent updates, and the general sandbox to keep anyone invested
Most of these MMOs are privately funded by people with too much money pre-launch
but then when they're pushed out of the nest to survive on their own, they can't help but crash and burn because they're either developed by Koreans or graybeards (who are equally out-of-touch in their own ways)

Unironically, this was Blizzard's big announcement
also, they have officially given up being creative
The new hero is literally named "jetpack cat"
Tiny it's even funnier
they're starting over at "season 1" again
Marvel Rivals is MUCH bigger now, but Overwatch still has a solid playerbase
I just can't imagine there's anything that will actually bring people back to the game
feels like they'd have been better off actually making an Overwatch 3 at this point

- Pretty UI! Seems to work great on both desktop and mobile.
- New clue gimmicks! 3/5 means it's either 3 or 5. 6+ means it's 6 or higher. You can also combine gimmicks!
- 500 solo puzzles! All sorts of grid sizes and gimmicks!
- The game will show you if you mark a square out of logic or incorrectly. This should clear up a lot of confusion, while not giving the solution away!
- In Archipelago your progress is saved automatically.
- Probably needs a little bit of testing but...: multiple people can log into the same puzzle!
