I also sorta just agree, people don't really want tf2 anymore
even if you rewound time to the perfect™ patch
it's an almost 20-year-old game
I think people just want a goofy shooter, but don't like the direction tf2 took the last 5 years
10*
but I agree
tf2 is at its best when you are just playing some random server, with 23 other strangers, and its just chaos of the intermingling of people of various skill levels doing shit
server-based FPS, without an XP grind or FOMO
that's not being microbalanced everymonth to chase some comp scene meta
I have about 1.3k hours in it spread across like 2011-2014ish
maybe 2010
I forget when I started playing tf2
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 server-based FPS, without an XP grind or FOMO that's not being microbalanced everymonth to chase some comp scene meta
Strange Items were and are the only real sense of progression you can get in the game and I think thats fine to a point
the hat economy
unirronically worked
competative tf2 was its own thing though, not official, just off to the side
which is why it worked
eh, I like games having a ranked mode sure, but it needs to be fucking separate and be a clear afterthought
Valve should have just given better server customization support where servers could rebalance items as they want, that would have satisfied the comp people
so they could do their own balance of the game
retards NEED games to have a 'queue' button though
because they don't want to have to think about what game they're playing
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 retards NEED games to have a 'queue' button though
This, and their server search function is absolute DOG SHIT
one mode
one map
one queue
it's so unnecessary too
sort of
there's one big 3rd party anti-cheat that games like this use, completely to their own peril
games like Battlefield and Valorant have their own 1st party one that works similarly, but almost no other devs do this shit
Riot's is the most intrusive and sus and needs to be manually rooted out if you want to not be part of the Chinese botnet (unirronically)
Replying to Rusp #rusp. the bios was already too big of an ask, but i did it anyways incase i felt like upgrading to windows 11
Also Rusp, if you do upgrade to Win11, to a clean install don't do the Win10-->Win11 upgrade
and at this point, you can probably just wait for Win12 later this year
idk if they've formally said if this Fall update will be the one, but it's going to be
Hopefully they follow the trend of the one they skip to being less dogshit
the insider previews are full of "Win12" code
