I think they *technically* make you own the game to use openRCT
sure, like all projects like this
they literally gave away RCT 1 and 2 in cereal boxes, that is freeware if I ever heard of it
oh, what I actually did was I thought that was RCT1 and not Classic
Polu dm'd me that earlier. A recomp is cool, but I am hopeful a proper pcport gets made since it is fully decomped
what are the recomps you're most hoping for
since the trend doesn't seem to be going anywhere
Since the paper mario 64 guys seem to have no fucking interest in making a pc port
using the codebase for the decomp along with recomp to do something might be cool
other than that, generally its "games I have not played that I would like to play"
Or games that will never get a proper decomp/pc port because they are niche, those are cool too

if you have a narrative, you can get away with the progression quests all being glorified filler
but with no narrative, filler quests, and no fun loot/buildup
