I think like 70% of the rance games are niche though even for people who know them, since you always hear the incorrect advice of "just skip to Sengoku its the best one"
Most people who have tried a Rance game probably played either sengoku or the dragon quest one
It is also the nostalgia one, because it was I think the first one to get an official translation
I have not seem much of it because I am avoiding X spoilers
