I also think sales have been much worst these past few years, so its hard to get good games cheap (which I aim to do because on top of wanting to buy myself shit, I usually only have 50 bucks to work with)
I can respect that a lot of devs have sorta decided that steam sales devalue games and have capped their %discount to 50% off
but it means they'll just sit on my wishlist forever
(along with 99% of stuff)
Games have also just raised prices, a lot of games have record lows at 50% off that now cost more at 80% off
(none of the games I classically bough for under a dollar are ever under a dollar)

I bought it because it shadow-dropped on Steam, back when there were 2-5 releases/week
