Perfect Dark would have been on this list, but its already been canceled
We will never see this data, but I wonder what a graph of % of games in developement cancelled would look like. Obviously most games that get cancelled I assume are so early in dev that there would be no announcements
but I feel like there is a ton of games that are worked on for 4 months to a year or so that just die never to be seen again
and that number is probably crazy specifically these last 5 years
everyone's going to call it something else, but that's what pre-production is usually for
small scope stuff get 3-6 months, any actual games 12-18 months
Yeah, I am curious what percentage of stuff basically makes it out of pre-production then just dies
It should be <1%, tbh
but it's been creeping up

I think the lines of what is/isn't pre-production has gotten blurry, because of how dev teams work
where devs will be rotated between projects and such, and games that "made it though" pre-prod are still years out
Also true, and also considering some shit gets released way before it should anyways
and they patch it to a workable state
the scary number is what % of games aren't economically viable that still get made
because that is what's going to unirronically cause the coming crash

of actual games Nightreign was my most played,
followed by Monster Hunter, Blue Prince, KCD2, Claire Obscure, The Alters, Arc, then a bunch of indies
And for some reason @taxes, Steam really wants me to play Redfall with you some more

they actually tried to contact Garbage for a sponsorship recently too. a bit of a miss on their part.
It is so fucking funny that they did a twitch collab with normie anime adjacent people instead of people that would like the game
CDawg literally does not even really like anime as far as I know, despite being on a podcast about it
Gigguk probably watches the most anime of those 4 people, but he x2 speeds a lot of them just to get through them for his "season year in anime" videos
