I tried it out, the only part I really liked was how small some of the classes were
xbox showed off a new furry game, and we came to the conclusion Biomutant was the last major one
new one is weird, going for UE5 photorealism

Because of the game awards drama (not really drama, just the dev requesting to be removed) I pirated and played a couple hours of megabonk. I really think that 3d vampire survivors mixed with risk of rain 2 loot mechanics is a good extension of the formula
I'll probably actually buy it on sale at some point
I just realized, me playing megabonk has NOT increased the number of games I have played from the game awards this year

Not having a Switch 2 or PS5 helps increase the number of games I've not played
Death Stranding2 , Ghosts of Yotai, and a bunch of ths shitter sports games
EA keeps most of their sports games off of PC because they'd just get modded
and then Sony does their 12 month console exclusivity

I think my least favorite games nominated are
1) Wanderstop
2) Civ 7
3) Doom 3

There were some other meh or overly artsy games, but those are the ones I think are genuinely bad
consume me is weird, because I feel like it should work even, but it's just so unpolished and "rough" that it becomes not a game
Wonderstop is genuinely so bad though, everything else is good by comparison
I can't judge bad Life is Strange-likes
because I enjoy how bad they are
South of Midnight was super high effort and a fine AA game
Despelote is a fine itch.io game
