First game is a masterpiece of gbc games. Pirates curse is amazing. I really likes half-genie hero (Although its a different type of game). The DSI game was just alright. Seven Sirens was my least favourite but I still enjoyed it

The party system in bg3 was better

and I think the early game combat was more fun

but there's a lot that I think divinity did better

combat time still is to me the biggest thing that makes me dislike LArian turn-based games

i liked Divinity original sin 2 but all i remember about combat was the entire battlefield being covered in fire 99% of the time

or deathfog

there was oil too, but that just became fire

which as long as you didn't set it on fire

oil was just fire waiting to happen

i included it in the fire stat

i died more to my own fire than to anything else

because it was literally everywhere

I liked being able to use the environment during combat though. There definitely were some (most) combats that could be completely cheesed if you knew what you were doing, and I think that's a positive.

I still haven't played BG3, so speaking only from DOS2
