well i guess the basement system is cool

probably my favorite use of them having a set map with rng elements

all basements in houses being randomized

is like the perfect middle ground

I really wish MP wasn't a complete afterthought for them, idk if 99% only play solo, it feels like co-op was why they had such a huge resergence and all

a lot of the stuff looks pretty cool

netcode is really hard they have devs that have been working while but can't into netcode

so they write everything

then have some schmuck convert it

but if everything is still wip

how the fuck do you keep up with editing it for mp

with 6 different people working on different things

I'm mostly annoyed from a modding standpoint, because you string along people who have to decide whether to release for the "current" build or the previous one

theyd have to get a full team just for editing code to mp and whats the point of having the og team at that point then

i get why logistically even if it sucks

i cant think of any indie games with a server/sp element

for as many times as they've remade the entire game, I'm surprised they never made life easier on themselves in regards to their servers/netcode

the game in general is still kinda

I wouldn't even care, if it didn't take a literal year I swing pretty wildly on what I think of IndieStone

they made a fucking cool sandbox, and any project that's still in active dev after 15+ years is neat on that alone

zombies still dont activate inside houses until you look inside/window/touch the door to prevent it from being hell if you ran down a street and every single house door would break open

and they haven't come up with a solution better than they're just deactivated

so you can honk a siren infront of a house

and nothing will come out

have they removed skybridging yet

because sprinters are like actually difficult to play around

learning to fence bait them or use windows and jump over large fences to lose them quickly
