I completely agree with this. I think a lot of what this boss does is unnecessary and pads time.

i came back to silksong and was having fun exploring, then forebrother signis sapped all that away very quickly

It is called spamming tools

it seems like this game incentivizes that playstyle with so many gauntlets and also bosses that spawn adds

yeah spam the limited resource

and tools don't really help the fact that you can lose 8 health in like 2 seconds when the second wave of ads spawns

I have figured out how to kill it so fast that its stunned twice before any ad waves happen but then they still happen so the second phase doesn't start despite how much damage I have done

well I looked up a guide to farm rosary so that limited resource isn't a problem anymore kappa

I get bored of bosses not dropping rosaries and also areas where you have to pay for a bench and no enemies around drop rosaries?

hase 2 is a fine boss

the first is the antitthhesis of fun

they only took me like 5 tries

I realized that i had taken off the weighted belt, but even with that the first phase sucked

that's supposed to be phase 1 of the fight i was complaining about

phase 2 is easy because its not some bullshit flier spamming projectiles that can combo you into lava walls

phase 2 might be one of the easiest things in the game actually

all the bosses that spawn adds

are all easy pattern wise

it is only difficult because of the adds

What's interesting about the Bilewater boss is that his attacks that spawn adds, don't REALLY spawn adds, like the adds just leave after attacking once. So, you can consider his "adds" to just be disjointed attacks. Actually one of the few good design decisions from that boss.

I am kind of disappointed in act 3 so far

I haven't fought a boss that was genuinely fun yet

I was extremely so! To the point I couldn't be bothered to fight the rest of the bosses!

what i am currently doing is trying to maximize completion without having beaten the clockwork thing at the end of act 2

so there's no reward for beating that boss until act 3

i accepted the quest and the easiest way to past that locked door is through the clockwork fight

there are 2 fights you are locked out of if you start act 3

but they are optional and not needed for completion

The pinstress is such a shitty fight. She claims to want a duel but then just floats and spams her ranged attack

i mad that multibinder doesn't clear maggots then heal you

that seemed like an obvious use for it

now I fight a boss that does double contact damage, melees you if you ever approach, spams full screen projectiles with random movement that disable healing

can't do anything fun like grapple spam so this fight is just boring wait halfway across the screen and hope you aren't 1 pixel too close to the projectile arc
