I feel the opposite, just in terms of grandiose climax.
grandma silk has like no buildup at all you dont even get the name or an idea about it like you do with radiance in HK. at least lost lace actually has buildup before the fight, and the fight itself is fun and thematic

anyway for most of the quests, i'll agree a lot of them are barebones mmo quests, but you can complete them passively easily while doing other stuff and initial area exploring

I don't fight a lot of enemies, and arenas don't count, so I had to grind for the weapons and cloaks from the guys in the citadel for those two quests

as far as currency grinding goes, since i was combing around for secrets i did get more currency than is normal i think, i only had to grind (very quickly, too) to buyout housing furniture and the thief shop and songclave shops which i grinded for at the same time using the rosary drop boosting thing

whats worse is still needing them to replenish lifeblood/flea brew tool uses despite those having their own stockpile currency

It adds a second reward for exploring so you're incentivized to look at every nook and cranny. I guess. That's my best argument.

My bigger complaint was that the puzzle shard rewards were always like 30 shards, which is literally nothing when I spend over 100 every boss attempt

It is hilarious to me for the melodys that 2 of them are literally sleeper pilled and 1 is just I hope you like climbing through the pits of hell fighting 11 waves of guys and 3 bosses in one go lol

I probably shouldn't have fought the first sinner before the final boss because it completely trivialized the boss, very disappointed in grandmother silk idk why it is the exact same swords come at you like different directions. I almost beat the final boss on my first try but died because I lost interest in fighting the boss and got killed. I beat her on my second try though so over ;(

Still not sure how to find this boss but I heard its needed for true ending? So hopefully I do. I have some ideas where it is though
