Kribbles games
Just got to greydocks, slow and steady. I found Lace and Bell Beast to be fun bosses where it was 50/50 dodging/fighting and felt accomplished beating them, but Fourth Chorus felt like a normal ol' boss with nothing special to him and I just wacked him as much as possible before he died./
bob games
I watched my friend do a single segment speedrun of this game and all he did was complain about sinner's road and the one gauntlet near the end and also every single lace fight
TinyBomby games
I get annoyed at the bosses that block your attacks though. It’s not the worst thing ever, but it’s always a bit annoying when you get a good hit and it just tinks.

the fast that you can be looking right and holding right and inexplicably dash left directly into the boss or spikes
i'm gonna be honest leg, i never once experienced any of these input issues you keep talking about. dash is defnitely not rng, though.
Polar_ games
I saw an article this morning where he claimed people crying about performance issues were all just trying to run on 4k with bad specs

So are all these companies using nanite for higher poly and it shits itself
nanite is essentially a replacement for LoDs. Its a very cheap way to have extremely high resolution super detailed models
taxes games
Having say a massive terrain that's extremely highly detailed would get you 30fps. With nanite that might be 60fps. However inversely, if you just have a regular normal fucking game, it might run 600 fps then you nanite-ify everything and it's now 60fps.
taxes games
LoDs need to be semi manually made or at least set in a process, you may have 1-3 levels of detail before close enough is the full model. Nanite allows "infinite" LoD levels as it progressively changes the scale
taxes games
THE ISSUE is when you do it for EVERYTHING. Every massive poly object, every bucket, everything being nanite is RETARDED, because it requires you to compute all these levels of detailc
taxes games
Its cheap in fortnite because it's a rather low poly game at the end of the day and very "static". They also only use it on terrain and large meshes.

This is the big issue with UE5 in general. Epic makes extremely powerful tools, however their uses are niche, need to be used carefully, or require specific implementation, but no one... actually does it.

Yea the way you put it makes it seem like either devs or their leads tell them they must use all the newest UE5 tools and features.
