I can't remember a launch causing this amount of sustained downtime
I wonder if there are ddos's going on as well
It's kind of wild if this is only natural traffic
Replying to legorhin #jazardly don't worry it still has the negative feature of dropping useful currency on death and being forced to corpse run back into a boss trigger to recover it
I do think death is always a difficult thing to balance in games like this. If you make it so you lose nothing on death, it feels too trivial, but if you lose too much, then it's too punishing.
Currency in souls games is funny
It simultaneously feels like it matters, while not actually mattering
It is the darksouls of metroidvanias, and we all know what the correct opinion on darksouls is
I have never played, nor watched anything about silksong so I do not know if people call it the darksouls of metroidvanias
(or hollowknight rather)
Darksouls so have real consequences like super mario bros
die 3 times and you have to start over
Actually true though
Honestly, you fix most of the problems with darksouls like games if you can just super meat boy style instant respawn at the boss fight with no time delay of "you died" followed by some waiting
I say, having only played dark souls 3 randomizer with gyro controls for 2 hours and nothing else!
if the point is to waste your time
I agree
You get stars on average less than dying to a particular boss in darksouls, but I agree some of them could be shortened
dying is also not an accomplishment worth fanfare typically, so it serves a different purpose I think
idk, I do not study specific answers for things so that comparison does not hit for me
I just read the theory and assume I can do it on the spot if I need to
I don't know why I started a debate over darksouls, I guess I was bored.
I wish I was living rent free
rent is fucking expensive
I am paying 1.8k a month for my 1 bedroom
