I'd recommend Nine Sols, I thought it was really good. Very fun combat system. Exploration was a bit more lacking compared to others in the genre though.

Silksong trailers have not been promising. On top of questionable design changes I ranted about ages ago, they still reuse a ton of footage
Kribbles games
I really liked Hollow Knight's story as exploring the remnants of a collapsed world, and I guess Silksong is before the collapse, so.. I'm not super hyped for it, but I will still play Silksong and enjoy myself.

A concept that is beyond cliche by now. Silksong should just have a normal functioning world to subvert expectations

I eat that cliche up, man. I love exploring ruins. It was my favorite part of Lord of the Rings, having Aragorn tell the hobbits about the lost worlds and societies that fell.

cliche ≠ bad

Hey, I had a dream of a video game boss mechanic that I don't know if it exists or not. I'm curious if any of you guys know of a game mechanic like this. I was fighting this spider lady who had infinite health and the way to defeat her was to solve this riddle by reading books in the library during the fight. So, opening the reading dialogue while she was chasing you and your character goes into a stand-still. So the strategy was to either get super far in front of her or stun her, and then take a glimpse at a book and read super fast, and scribble down on a piece of paper the answer. Felt like a cool concept, I dunno if someone's taken it already though.

The Ape Escape mode in MGS:Delta is a Bomberman mode for Xbox. Is MGS:D now a BBC candidate?

the last step is spouting chocolate on the orange cakes and they were using the setup to fill buckets of chocolate with the cake feed disabled, then it got turned back on

every other company is doing invasive age verification for data harvesting purposes Steam just requires you to link a credit card, only in territories it is compelled by law to
Pyrrhic games
Being forced to link my credit card still frightens me. I once may have falsely claimed that certain purchases I made on steam came from me having my card details stolen (I suspected they were false purchases purely because my steam purchases were transacting into a German bank account. I figured if they were genuine it would go to steam australia, but little did I know all Australian steam purchases go to germany).
