Replying to Rusp #rusp. vampire survivors is a rusp type game in theory but in practice i think its mid when the genre is at its best
there are a small number that I like, but yeah, I think the wave of games is really silly
the hololive one is the best one
for some reason
at its free, which inherently makes it better than 99% of them
it's a very China core genre
even though it's not Chinese in origin question mark
Vampire survivor popularized it recently, which I doubt is chinese
I know it has existed in forms before that
but that is what caused the 1000 indie games

3 dollars is the correcy price at least, I will give them that
this was the one I liked, which I think pre-dated Vampire Survivors by a couple months
and yeah, the hololive one is pretty good

risk of rain 2 is 3rd/1st person vampire survivors (almost)

I like the old school horde games and game modes
cod zombies, Serious sam, Killing Floor, L4D2, etc.

They're doing so good
They want to get the EU to regulate companies making online only games that die when they pull the servers
is the main thing
So if you are closing a game, you have to patch it to allow lan/self hosting and remove drm
is an example of one of the proposed fixes
at 1 million signatures, the EU is legally required to look into it
The things they want are straight benificial unless you are a gay furry who chose a username to ape searches for bypassing paying for things
If they get the signatures, they will get this, EU likes these kind of regulations a lot
and the proposed rule would be that you are unable to sell digital products in the EU, that do not have an end-of-life plan that leaves them functional (good faith definition)
which is really reasonable!
"hey when you shut down, release your server binaries, and if people want to they can fuck around with them"
They don't have to patch anything or release source code, nothing extreme, just a "hey you can't sell people something and then render it non-functional"
