combat in Nobeta never feels good, it just introduces obstacles that you have to pick off from a distance
it's sorta the same problem as Dark Souls 1
I played like 3 hours of Nobeta Gent, he has not lost me on this one

I dislike souls games in general, I just agree that magic souls games work less than normal souls
I don't know how to fix nobeta conceptually other than "do not make it a souls game"
I'd like them to try a non-combat version of nobeta, idk if it would work for the whole game, but I'd rather just have the metroidvania levels with a better moveset than be a half-assed ranged souslike

Their marketing is pretty good (good enough to get me to try a souls game), but the game itself is a letdown
