stil don't know what gamergate is
Zoe Quinn made an awful vn called depression quest, which 5 journalists wrote puff pieces over. People discovered she was sleeping with them, raising questions about ethics because this was back when people still thought somewhat highly of journalism
the response from journalists, instead of firing these people, was a coordinated attack which led to an article "gamers are dead, games don't have to be your audience" coming out
This confused and pissed people off, and it spiraled into gamergate

I want you to know, I just woke up and am still in bed, and phone posting the history of gamergate was my first activity of the day
i don't know pika, on wikipedia it says that all of those claims were false.!
However this article must be mistaken, as it seems to be implying that reddit was on the side that was wrong, which surely cannot be true.

What we have learned is while I can "do" rabi-ribi, the nature of the game makes it awful to do for AP because the entire world is open so I have to run around everywhere to find people stuff
so I am switching off the game and will play something else
to the surprise of no one
that Balatro word game is really bad
as someone who plays a lot of word games, the letter balance is bad (that can be fixed if they care)
but the overall structure isn't fun, there isn't any way to build your bonuses around anything other than longer word == more points
and none of the letter upgrades are creative at all
if they had tile upgrades and better bonuses, maybe it could work, but even then I think it would be hard
it's also just, not very polished, basic QoL stuff like letter rearranging
no idea, but they have multilingual support
so I assume it's just all the international scrabble ones

Broussard sold a publishing studio, he's not just any "insider", if he's saying this it's 100% true
