store.steampowered.comWe planning an archipelago?
after you get your car
They were explaining it
big AP group game still TBD later during summer
Pika is free after the 19th
so end of this month we could do one
Tuesday, June 10, 2025
he literally canonically kills and beats gay men
There is one bisexual woman
thats the most LGBTQ+ Ultra I can think of
I have no idea, also pirate do not click this it is possibly a spoiler
Very angry at this spoiler I didn't click
Since literally every time we mention Archipelago multiple people come out of the woodwork and express interest in doing another one, I will try to set the groundwork for doing one:
For those of you who have no idea of what the hell that is, or want more info/access to what games and tools you will need, refer to this post https://discord.com/channels/723638993488576593/723638994189156429/1261783532389404684
I am locked down from doing anything until after the 19th (and I will be going back home for a month probably mid July, so if we are doing one it realistically either needs to be late/early July, or late august. Presumably weekends work best for people, so I will post a poll with what weekends work best for people.
If you are interested at all, feel free to soft commit (we can add/remove people from the roster up to the last minute since we just have to generate a new randomizer seed). Time commitment we usually aim to balance around 3-5 hours, some people can go longer until they finish or give up, and if you have to leave early we can release your items so you do not have to feel bad about screwing everyone else over. As usual, anyone is welcome other than deaddog who is banned from AP after last time.
What weekends work best for you if you want to do an AP randomizer group game night (its multi select, select all you are fine with).

Also I will probably try rabi-ribi this time
I'll add, you don't need to be an expert on whatever it is you're running
but you'll want to have tested out whatever game you're playing at least once beforehand (to make sure its setup correctly), and have a rough idea of how many checks there are in it that you've randomized
aim for ~4 hours to clear, and somewhere in the ballpark of 200 checks
Yeah, poptracker (linked in the post I linked to) is useful since even if you do not know every location in your game, it will help fill in the gaps (and tell you whats in logic)
(Also I am not really restricted to weekends, I just assumed that would work the best for most people)
someone should play this

github.comReplying to Rusp #rusp. is archipelago friendslop? (edited)
Rusp, speaking of friendslop
polu, syren and I played this scrap collecting friendslop alpha
it was decent
remind me to tell you to try it when its out
scraprunners
Replying to heir #hyrrulfr unless there's a game i actually know how to play and enjoy
They have a lot of weird shit, I'd look at the list they have on their discord
Replying to Rusp #rusp. I'll look into it
Its kind of like risk of rain without items mixed with luigi's mansion vacuum mechanics with shooty gun fights with robots
alpha is kind of bare bones, but if they put in work, it could be decent

docs.google.com
Right I forgot about the google doc, I'll add that to the pinned post
You kind of have to pick reasonably, big RPG's are kind of hard to do for a group thing
also we can fine tune the settings to make everyone's games take closer
I’m feeling either a 3D Mario or one of the 64 Zeldas (shocking, I know)
Hollowknight is a good example, where max settings there is like 2000 checks (spooky learned that the hard way), with reasonable settings, it is fine
As far as games I have tested personally and know work okay go:
Mario 64 (annoying to setup, but works great),
N64 zeldas (they are longer though)
Mario kart 64 (adds funny barriers which make the game hard to play until someone finds the key to remove the barriers)
Paper mario 64 (long, but its fine if you know the game)
I think those are all the ones I've done
I think collectively we have played maybe 5% of the games they have
Polu did Sonic Adventure 2 I think?
I know raccoons said he wanted to try psuedoregalia, which I think would work well, it has not that many checks, but they are spread apart
Max did a dark souls, I think 3?
DS3 sounds right
Dark souls is funny because if you get an item from someone it overrights your previous item iirc, so you are stuck with whatever you have
I think flipwitch would be fine
