Looking at Oblivion Remastered and it's about what I expected. As usual, probably won't buy for two or three years

Confirmed will not get official modding support. Most likely someone will create their own modding software for the game, but there will be lots of restrictions as to what can be modded.

Not 100% sure, but the fact that the game is very large means the files are likely loose and uncompressed so they can be replaced. Probably the way modding will go.
