For Polu mostly
Bungie is finally showing of Marathon for real
Releases Sep 23rd
they're doing playtest signups in Discord
I'm going to @polu and strongly recommend you sign up for the alpha before it fills up
you just join their server and /alpha
yeah I had that at first too, restarting my client fixed it

I think the meta aspects will be what make or break the game
the game's not doing anything new enough on its own to warrant 'winning' over all the other MP shooters and BRs in the market
and that's what would worry me, because Bungie's been inconsistent at best with Destiny meta stuff
18 player maps PvPvE
options to solo queue or trio queue
it looks like there will be a high number of maps, weapons, and character classes/abilities

This is a really cool trailer
they had way too much money
it didn't fully commit, which I think hurts it
depending on what classes/loadouts are like, it's going to be too messy is my concern
in Fortnite, it doesn't really matter, but in Seige/Tarkov/any of these extraction shooters
that's going to be what I think people will get hung up on
it's also weirdly Hunt Showdown coded
which I still don't think is that good of a game
I think "good extraction shooter"
is a good concept
and no one has been able to get more than 50% of the way there
and for the record, I don't think Bungie will be the one
I didn't post it, but Dark and Darker gave up sorta
and just added a co-op PvE mode
not at all
I don't know how Bungie hopes to earn money on this
I think it will be good, ideally better than Finals/Heyenas
but I just don't see this being the BIG thing
though granted, I thought that about Apex too, since it's a heavily mid game
but after a few years, they spent their way into relevence
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 though granted, I thought that about Apex too, since it's a heavily mid game
its the movement
I still think one of the most fun parts of Dark&Darker Alpha, was that it wasn't cutthrought, kill everyone on-sight

my concept for what would make a good extraction game includes that
