total sales are probably a bit over 1M (console+Uplay+Steam), with the other million being via their subscription service and hardware bundles
weekend 2 could technically still be strong for them, but this is about as bad as I think was realistic for this game to expect

Players is gonna be higher than sales, and i'm pretty sure 2 million is not profit even fi it was sales. so rip
yeah, I'd guess breakeven for them is around 6M sales @$70
there is DLC and other stuff coming, and their game will sell for a while, but this is probably in the range where projects get canceled

Cruelty Squad 2 is out
I kickstarted the first one
it was frustratingly mid
I was semi-hopeful that the 2nd one would be better, but I can't get past their art change
and this is coming from a HUGE proponent of AI art's potential, they did it in the worst way possible
they had this huge art budget, an they chose to phone-in the story/character CGs of all things

For SRPGs/Fire Emblem games, there's a lot you could phone in if you nail that character art
mechanically, I'm assuming the game is just 1:1 what was in the first game, which was fine, but not anything beyond what I was expecting other than the classes being more fun than vanilla FE

they proclaim no AI art, but if i had to assume why they dumped the budget there its probably because anyone who actually trudged through the game praised the story/characters.
