Now that I have finished 100%ing it, I have to say, Banjo-Kazooie was a huge letdown plagued by design choices I think were actively detrimental to the game. I can see why people like it, but I overall was dissapointed by the game. I hear tooie is worse, so I look forward to playing that at some point.
I think people gave it a pass, because they felt like character platformers were dead at the time

If I had to sum up my thoughts on half of my issues, it is that it feels like they made a 3D 2D platformer, instead of being a proper 3D platformer game design wise
Polu informed me the other day that me playing the N64 release was the worst release of the game, and the xbox one was the best release
so things like not having my notes reset on death would offset my issues, but it would not change the underlying game design faults that cause those issues
Year off to a good start, I have 100%'d more games than I have just normally completed

Has anyone tried Playnite? If so, did you find it useful?
I can't see how this would have any value if you already use steam
since you can add non products to steam anyways and manage them via that

It's for merging things like Steam with GOG or Epic Games, and I think tracking stats and achievements maybe? That's why I wanted to ask

and I'm 1:1 with what Pika said in general, even as someone with a fuckton of games, I don't see the value in any of these sites

Playnite has been around for forever, it pre-dated Steam's library overhaul

I don't think any Nintendo consoles keep track of playtime. You would have to keep all your saves and then go into each game and add everything up.

No it's great but that means there are a lot of strange entries. Some games are literally like a 5 minute cutscene and have no cover art
