I think if I did not also watch more anime than I have ever watched this past year, I would have completed 10 more games

Fate Samurai Remnant DLC was really good, but I'm not going to count that
Watching 10-15 shows a season 2-3 seasons in a row really cut into my gaming
I think the stupidest choices I made as far as 100%ing games was holocure and balatro
I do not regret either, but those were actual timesinks
Dialga, to be absolutely fair, I am really bad at finishing games too
Not as much anymore
but I had not finished a single 3D zelda game until each of their respective remakes came out
despite owning and liking all of them
Pika, you're way more diciplined at finishing media you start consuming
that's your whole thing
Yeah, now I am
I guess I meant was
I have limited myself to only starting one thing at a time, and not moving on until I am either satisfied I never want to play more of it, or until I've finished it
like animal well, I did not do a single thing of post game content, and that was fine
it's weird, I really like achievements, always have
but I have never at any point in my life been really gung-ho about completing games
in fact, many of my favorite games of all time, never completed, let alone 100%'d
I like absolute closure that comes with 100%ing something, where I can go back to it, but I realistically have done everything so I do not feel the need to
type of game matters a lot to that too though
Most games are also not that much harder to 100% than to just beat, excluding things like Issac and Balatro where my love of the game was the only reason I actually bothered to 100% those
From your list, I did 100% Majoras mask this year (since 2ship came out). I technically 100%ed a Ocarina of time randomizer since I had horrid luck, and I would have 100%'d astro bot had I had the ability to play it, because that is the kind of game I love to 100%
I will 100% Echoes of Wisdom, but I am not even done playing it yet
Just beat the goron place, and have the other 2 set of rifts that open after the castle as my next story objectives
ikr Dialga
My hot take is I think being an open world game is infinitely more satisfying for a 2D zelda than it was for a 3D zelda having now played Echoes
I'd love to play Unicorn Overlord if it came to an actual platform
I want to see an actual zelda game 2D zelda that is open world now, to see if that statement holds up
It is really fun climbing shit and exploring in 2D, way moreso than in 3D
Well, its psuedo 3D
I guess if I had to discuss my 2025 games I want to do, I want to play all of my christmas games I got this year, I want to finish Shantae (left off half way through), and I want to play Catherine since that is the only christmas game from last year I left untouched, and I want to finish the 5 or 6 games I started, made good progress in, but did not finish last year
I am not sure what older game franchaise, if any, I want to deep dive after I finish Shantae
Since I am also notorious for missing a metric ton of classic games
That I know for a fact I'd like
JRPG's are not my genre
If they were I would finish Xenoblade 2
lmfao
Yeah
That was not because they were JRPGs, but because I really liked Neptunia
I have also 100%'d all the non JRPG neptunia's I've played except the fire emblem one, which I need to finish
and the bullet hell one, which I am skill issued by
old games are way harder to recommend than other kinds of old media
aside from absolute classics, there are very few that hold up enough mechanically to be worth playing
and forgoing modern QoL
I still technically need to finish pikmin 2!
But at this point, I think I would have to replay it, and I might to leave that series off with having 100%'d Pikmin 1
at some point I should play Pikmin 4
I know I'll like it
I kind of want to get the remaster of prime 1, then actually finish 2 and play 3 so I can do prime 4
last year
I had the same exestential crisis with mario wonder
I swore I played that this year
but it was last year
there were a couple 2022 games on my list
that really psyched me out
I think my list was pretty split on new released and old games
If we count porn games, my list was a majority new releases!
I have some DLC I never got around to or did not finish
Like stardews
I include DLC as update I guess
lmao
Anyways I need to play the stardew update still and re-100% it
The games I've started but not finished are It Takes Two (with Polu), Holo X Break, Open RTC2 (Was going to 100% all of RCT2 for the first time, only ended up doing 1), Paper Mario: the Thousand Year Door (Remake), and Infinity Nikki
