Really good day 1 numbers for Stalker
it's fun, nothing groundbreaking though
runs bad, maybe a little better than Starfield ran for me
the obvious comparison is to Chernobylite, which is just a more linear stalker made by the original devs
and imo, it's probably the better game despite being less like the original stalker
Stalker 2 is a lot like Stalker 3 (Call of Piprat) including all the dumb parts
and whatever random devs Microsoft hired to make this game objectively suck at their jobs
Def worth playing, though I'm certainly not buying it

I saw you guys talking about PoE, and remembered PoE2 was supposed to come out soon, so I checked up on it
oh that's interesting, the F2P game has a $30 early access thing they're selling
I figure it'll be like most games, where it's for 1-2 weeks early access

hilarious that it's in some sort of 6 month limbo
no wipes either, so this is just... the 1.0 release

people are coming around to what we've been saying for years
devs think that the solution to the problem of bad engines is just using a known engine
but in reality bad engines isnt the issue, its devs not knowing their engine
if you have a very good dev that knows their engine front and back and what to use to make something run good, wow itll run good
the gaming industry is in a cycle of pump and dumping devs and people that work on games instead of tight knit teams
The two gachas that hit Steam this month have been getting pushed a ton
mostly for Heavens Burn Red, a little for Ash Echoes
It's weird seeing lower-budget gachas make a run at things now
I feel like if you're not a Mihoyo-tier juggernaut, it's hard to find an audience
