idk a good game to compare it to
it's got a bit of Fallout, Farcry, and Wolfenstein in its blood
but Metro is its own thing
at $4, it's kind of hard to say not to just try it though

Stress testing a ray tracer thing for viability. Not being locked to linear projection is nice, in this screenshot you can see all six edges of the menger sponge at the same time. #WebGPU

I might actually be interested in this one for once
I have seen all of them
that one was good too
I should have said "more interested in than usual"
I feel like a lot of people here watch summonsalt
but the real question
at what playback speed
1.5-1.75
I watch videos like this while gaming
Subtitles on a sine curve so they always catch up eventually
video correct, but a smaller version of the video playing at 1.1x speed in the bottom left
audio is correct, but alternates between left ear and right ear only

The only reason I don't have YouTube default to 1.2-1.3x is because of music
imo, most things nowadays are improved by speeding them up 20%
tiktok gets this, the speed of vids there are so much higher than old-format stuff
though I do think most people why say they watch shit at 2.5x+ are memeing or really don't care about the content and just have a need to have background noise or w/e
1.2x improves anything, beyond that it's case-by-case for me
I do not fail to gain the information from the video
some people just talk way too fucking slow
People who speed up anime are insane to me though
Because that is not just information slop you are consuming
Honestly, a lot of times I will just do 1.25x, but then hold down mouse 1 on the video player which speeds it up to 2x when I specifically want to fastforward
Either or
Sometimes I play low thought games like balatro
where 90% of my focus is still on the video
or third monitor games like town of salem
I think most YT videos, TV shows, or anime has become lest dense over time
whether it's talking slower, hanging on transitions, or spending too much time establishing a scene/segment
I'm not speeding up content that is already perfect, I'm speeding up the 90% of shit that thinks the audience needs it to be overly slow
or themselves are just trying to pad for time
it's weird, but a 20-30% speedup is usually the difference between me getting bored/frustrated and clicking off, or me enjoying something and sticking with it
I also don't watch much background noise filler shit, podcasts, audiobooks, etc.
I'm not trying to minmax media consumption, I just find that I enjoy it when something is paced correctly
Part of it is I keep up with a lot of random shit that would not be possible if I was not watching things at insane speeds lol
I like following random youtube drama, random topics, etc, on top of my anime and school stuff

I'd love to know who forced this to happen
that's too funny
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 I'd love to know who forced this to happen
Idk if this is separate, but OW2 having a single tank was actually a balance nightmare. It's inadvertently forced Ow1 nostalgia
as a very casual OW player
I think playing around a single tank is more fun, but you essentially remove the viability of 3/4 of the tanks because they're not "as good" as the goats

Yea a lot of the tanks are still designed to just not play with team or actually tank
