Hypetrain (who's publishing 3) is a slop brand
but they're more hands off
I'd appreciate if he had some sort of release cadence now, with a new publisher 18-24 months between routes would make me happy
and then figure out how to bundle/market Pathologic 2-5 together in some way
There was a small indie time-loop game I played yesterday that was decent, but frustrating

Grunn
You’ve been hired to do some maintenance work on a garden deep in the Dutch countryside. There’s plenty to do: trim the grass, water the flowers, pick up trash, and of course enjoy the lovely scenery. There’s also a small town nearby if you’d like a stroll. Except… Most of your tools are missing. The owner isn’t around. Going out after dark is ...
store.steampowered.comIt's made by Sokopop, who do game jam style development for all their stuff
this was definitely one of their bigger projects, and a lot of it is fun
my issue is that it's a time-loop game without progress between loops (because it's already fairly small)
it's a 5* concept, executed really well, but Sokopop only makes small games so it's a tiny version of a great idea for a big game
I love Majora's Mask, Pathologic style loops, with NPC routes/schedules and everything
Grunn is definitely inspired by that, but you can beat the game in <2 hours without trying to rush
Replying to Gent #gent_. You love outer wilds
unirronically, if Outher Wilds didn't deliver all of its story via visual novel time-pause reading sections
It would be one of my top 10 games
it's a neat af sandbox, with amazing game mechanics
that has a mediocre story slapped on it in the most boring, way possible, with a reddit-tier ending
Outerwilds is space nihilism
Outer Worlds is the Fallout game, Disco Elysium is the reddit commie VN
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 Outer Worlds is the Fallout game, Disco Elysium is the reddit commie VN
Okay disco elysium was what I was thinking of probably
the most perfect part of Disco Elysium, is that because of their weird commie collective ownership thing they were doing
the origina ldevs were all removed, and no longer own the IP rights to their game
and they're assmad about it to this day
this is probably a close enough summary
my recollection, is they setup this weird holding company, that was commie collective ownership for everyone who contributed to the game
it's not publically traded, so there was no need to do "shares"
all I know is the original 3 devs/writers are still mad about it, tell people to just pirate the game and are insensed that they can't make the sequal game they already have written, because they lost the IP
and didn't make nearly any money from this like Max said, they got a ~$2M settlement from their lawsuit (before taxes and fees), but the collective thing they lost was holding $20M+
I know nothing about the game other than the devs are retarded
I just learned, they are also selling overpriced clothing
