I feel like the Obsidian name would carry more weight, if the game was niche in any interesting way
but they did the bare minimum of trend chasing to kill that interest
I really thought it was semi-open world

sort of, I think one of the planets in 1 was "semi-open world"
and then the rest are tiny
idk what the name is for hub area games that I like
Metro Exodus for example, not open world but it has these huge areas that you visit linearly
bigger than Outer Worlds for sure

I don't hate that size of area, Outer Worlds was too small, but something on that scale could work
Max, the one dungeon I noped out of watching, where they couldnt' hit the little crab goober thing on the ground
yeah, they're in trouble I think then
idk how expensive this game was to make
I still think their Fallout game is going to be what Microsoft cares about
and Avowed is getting pushed out and will only get token post-launch support
