agreed
uh, if the Zelda game is good (who the fuck knows) it can get a nom too
I don't think it'll be good enough to warrent it
actually Max
we're both wrong
it's going to be Stalker that wins
because 🇺🇦
appak
they are 100%
going to win some award
they'll make a new one
"adversity award"
for most devs who died in a war while making the game
since I made the list, here's the rest of the year
Big budget AA/Indies
Astro Bot
Wild Bastards
The Plucky Squire
Enotria: The Last Song
Frostpunk 2
DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO
Ara: History Untold
Europa
Super Mario Party Jamboree
Sonic x Shadow Generations
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game
Neva
Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket
Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed
Mario & Luigi: Brothership
Ys X: Nordics
Amber Isle
Slitterhead
Empire of the Ants
Farming Simulator 25
Marvel Rivals
DLC
Starfield: Shattered Space
New World: Aeternum
Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred
Sports
NBA 2K25
NHL 25
EA Sports FC 25
Starfield DLC
get hyped
are we sure erdtree can't win it?
Wukong deserves the win
easily
I do think everyone is going to suck off Stalker though, thinking about it now
it's going to get all 90s and 95s
and other than Wukong, it'll probably be good enough to justify winning over Dogma or Helldivers
I think Wukong will win nothing
Palworld Max
come on
it will
it'll win best ongoing game
over Genshin/ZZZ
because anti-China, anti-gacha
even though Mihoyo ongoing support is legit crazy
even if you don't minmax like Bopit, it's totally valid to stay semi-current in those games, and enjoy all the stuff that gets added weekly
I really think it's going to be stalker
they're going to send that one dev who had his legs blown off by a landmine
and he'll wheel up on stage
open with SLAVA UKRAINI
and everyone will clap
it's funny too, because the holding ocmpany that owns Volstek games or w/e their studio is called
closed their Ukraine studio
and the game has been produced by their Czech and Malta branches
most of the Ukraine guys didn't even get to leave the country to continue work, a handful got out
but 30-40% just got fired or died fighting Russia
I think there were 6-8 token guys still in Ukraine working on the game, something on that order of magnitude

it's a good sign when their new trailer doesn't have gameplay footage in it

When IGN gave Concord a 7, I didn't realize that rating was the number of days the game had left before shutting down. Millions of dollars spent on weirdo devs and "the message" for "modern audiences". I wonder what the Sony execs think about all this.
