The Next Dragon Age Has a New Title
Hi everyone, Summer is nearly upon us, and as promised, we’re ready to provide an update on our big reveal. We’d like to invite the world to join us on Tuesday, June 11, for the official first look…
blog.bioware.comthey renamed Dreadwolf
if you don't know, Dreadwolf wasn't just some cool title, it's a very relevent character to the game
so this probably means they did a complete story re-write.... again
on a game that's been in development hell for 9? years now
Bioware is getting shut down after this 100%
there are people with WAY more inside knowledge of Bioware, Dragon Age is weird series to follow-up
because tbh only DA: Origins is regarded as good, and that's an old-old school RPG
DA2 and Inquisition sold alright, but were always smaller scale in-between games for Bioware to cycle teams on between major releases
with Anthem flopping, Mass Effect being dead, Kotor being given to a different studio, and the Neverwinter Nights remake being canceled
this is all they have, it's been publically retarted 3+ times, definitely got canceled once internally, has had multiple different directors and narrative leads
and they have shown nothing of it, despite originally intending to release it in 2022/2023, when they did the title reveal at E3 2022
but yeah, will be VERY interesting to see at the Xbox showcase this weekend
what this is and what it looks like
oh my God
the leaks imply this is now going to be a Soulslike
if that's true
lmao
also, there is now a 2nd Silksong clone revealed at E3 this year

Replying to Polar_ #polar_ I always heard people say Inquisition and DA2 were pretty good games. Not that I saw many people speak about it though.
I'll defend DA2 more than I'll defend Inquisition, DA2 was unfinished but had interesting characters at the very least
I think both games moved further and further away from the cool combat system of Origins and the amount of available narrative choice, which was Bioware's whole claim to fame with all their series
they were pretty much the only big classical-setting RPGs of the era (late 2000s, early 2010s) though
you had sci-fi RPGs and shooters galore, but very few sword-and-board, magic, and dragons
and here's the frogun trailer from E3
howcome fire beats ice
if ice melts it becomes water which beats fire...
