I hope this port doesn't suck. While the game was painful at points I've always loved the universe. The extraction shooter Bungie announced doesn't look anything like the original
it's the Aleph One team, so it's the same as the freeware recompile that's out there
I'm guessing they got the blessing of Bungie
who benefit since they're making the new Marathon game next year
Just checked, I have played 5 minutes of combat evolved, and nothing else from bungie
which makes sense because I did not own an xbox
I'm not a Destiny 2 player
so I have no real opinion on modern bungie
them remaking their game 3+ times, content vaulting old stuff, and the lack of multiple teams working in cohesion
kind of make me think they're a shit developer
but they have a LOT of money
so I think the new Marathon could be interesting
