Vanila doors is fine
I am doing stage rando anyways
I can skip bowser 2/3 door anyways, and 8 stars is nothing for 1
I got 8 stars within 5 minutes during the dry run test
8 stars for bowser 1 and MIPS and BLJs for the other doors makes all of them free essentially
Mario 64 has no item locks other than a few stars and basement/second floor
and those doors each block about 1/3rd of the game
so Odds are I get key 1 before 100% main floor
mostly skipable star wise
only a couple you truely need a cap for
every cannon is theoretically skipable
There’s only like 7 stars that completely require a cap
The rest you have alternative methods
I can only thing of 2

either way ~10 checks out of >150 is a nonissue for progress
especially since I can beat the game after 2 keys regardless

just lower gannons trials to let you skip 1
that way you can skip strength 3
Still need two of those three to beat bosses
You might not need to do all the bosses
depending on what settings you use
I am just trying to think of how we lower OoT's time, because you have the longest game by far
Yeah, that’s why I said prolly and not a definitive “I need these”
To lower game time I would limit songs to songs do not randomize gold skulltula locations
And probably skip trials altogether

Having up to fifty is normal so there’s no harm in keeping up to that
Killing 50 skulls is a non issue
