it also just cracked 1.2M in-game rn
today's probably its last chance to pass Dota/Lost Ark
the other Garbage is playing it
I'm going to try it for 30 minutes, I'm really curious how much they improved compared to Craftopia
which at a base level, was just a really half-assed asset flip
if Palworld is fun to just move around in, it'll honestly be the first in a long time
PC has had zero games like that at all
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 if Palworld is fun to just move around in, it'll honestly be the first in a long time
it uses the default ue5 movement engine
I just remember their last game, how bad the movement felt
and yeah, these menus are just default UE
(which is still better than Unity)
lol
I moved around
yeah, it's more polished than craftopia
but it's not

not this
it's either not default, or the default has changed
I've played a lot of shitty itch.io unreal games
that use pure default
this is serviceable
here's my thought, they teweaked the actual player agent movement, but not the player model
the player model's fidelity is really mid
underwhelmed
I've seen people playing it say along the lines of "Palworld might have started as a scam, but after all the interest in it, they either made it an actual game". And they weren't saying that negatively. It wouldn't surprise me.
And it's a fine game, not perfect (especially the multiplayer desynch issues). But it is quite enjoyable, and fills something people have been looking for

that is my perspective
it'll be fun with a big group at some point
Yeah they basically seem to direct line pathfind, and size or complex structures can mess them up
most games seem to struggle with ai pathfinding & custom player building
how "massive"? all within the box circle?
that's it
after we finish our current project we're making Funny Island Online
Phijkchu games need to all be acronyms for something
Considering pokemon has been bad since get 6, I just assume it is an okay game by modern pokemon standards
