I wasn't following closely, but isn't xentax pretty niche?

I saw a write-up from months ago about why xentax didn't matter

the number of times some archaic tool, that's just uploaded to an old forum, saves my ass
is very high
the issue I have is, there are ways to centrally archive stuff like this, (or just keep hosting the forum read-only
but people seem only interested in making their own backup cluster hoard

Discord is fucking terrible for public things
you have to have way too much structure to make a discord usable, which then makes it not a discord
because basic things like capturing and moving posts between channels, or having archive threads that are able to be used
is just not there
I saw
I've seen some games with some early version of that in-use
and it can work maybe
but basic ass php forums
are the gold standard
and always will be
