NMS sort of limits you
when you hit a threshold, it enters a loading state, and pulls you up to the space layer
Star Citizen and Outer Wilds just process everything
Pika playing that was funny
idk if you were here to see it Max
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 Star Citizen and Outer Wilds just process everything (edited)
star citizen doesnt
him and his physics degree
Star citizen is full landing,
and docking
you can disembark anywhere
cities have a sky exclusion zone
thing
so you can't suicide into a city
with your carrier
Outer Worlds and Starfield = Click button to fast travel, pre-rendered cutscene for leaving and entering, landing is just fast travel to new regions
Outer Wilds and Star Citizen = Can land and fly anywhere, no cutscene fully semeless
No Mans Sky = When you approach a planet from space you get a re-entry layer over your windows as the planet loads, then you're able to fly around and land anywhere, you can then fly back up and leave with a layer over the windows for exit
iirc, there's no in-atmosphere flying at all
which is bizzare to me
why even have space ships
Outerworlds is fine, because it doesn't feel like it needs it
but Starfield clearly was built with it in mind, and then it got scrapped
probably to run on xbox
appak
that's getting added
as DLC #1
calling it
uh, it had the suits in 4 and 96
that fucked up
and made you spaghetti people
