the payday 3 beta is opt in now
The BG3 underground is so big
I think the underground makes for a much better oppening to the game
it feels less mundane, and the factions underground are.... actually fun
writing is \better**
not great, but servicable
and the character writing and puzzles are more fun
have the ship at the beginning still crash on the beach, have there be a small fishing village or w/e, small amount of stuff on the surface
but make 90% of the act the underground
there's more going on with gods, the absolute, etc. etc.
and it's less dumb like the Goblin v tieflings v druids thing is

idk, I have zero expectation the rest of the game will be better
there are two different types of writing
and idk the actual name for what I'm talking about
the actual text they wrote for NPCs, is maybe a tiny bit better, but alot of that is no goblins

I don't care as much about that writring though
the actual overarching narrative, underground
is what I think is better
the writing for dialogue is still mostly bad
I think the area concepts underground, are better
which I'm attributing to "writing"
