If no one is following the recent Disco Elysium drama
the main writers/devs decided to literally send an email to a current employee of the studio they sold, asking for someone to "send them the source code for the game, for monetary compensation and to do their part for Communism"
they will 100% go to jail for this

also, there are ongoing legal disputes in Estonia, related to the "workers collective" ownership structure they had
they've allegedly never paid Estonian taxes either, and hid their money in America via a shell company
