I'd assume they'd go limited over erratas, ban seems a bit too early in life. I think we will have set rotation to require only using the new set though.

if they lowered pikachu ex to just 20 power per ally, that already is a 30 damage nerf at full setup, and punishes early

I think energy needs to a seperate hand, that starts you with 2, and draw 1 each turn; and then place. and prize cards to win need to be 4.

Them making this a collecting game drastically drops the chance of game modes like drafting too, although I guess it could make it so you don't keep your drafted cards.

Btw garbage, since you've played the most, what do you think the 3 strongest decks are.

Third im stuck between dragonite or nidoking

I can still beat both easily because all the players I match up against are retarded

Charizard EX and Venasaur EX will be better if the format is slower

I've still won vs Mewtwo as Water deck with abysmal coin flips

Liligant is good ramp, but not being passive makes it worse than gardivor

Because of it being mobile i doubt they'd slow the pace down.

Starmie ex will see way more play then articuno ex if we get more water support

Dragonite is dogshit, and it's funny to see people play it.

I was thinking fire would be good if a better EX came out next set that didn't involve throwing all your energy away

melmetal is way too slow to lose to when running articuno or mewtwo.

I can beat those just fine

I lose to dragonite when I draw nothing usable for like 10 cards straight

I've suffered early losses to marrowak and Blaine.

And then lucky articuno's, both 18 and starmie, mirror match mewtwos going first with bad hand, and pikachu ex are my most common losses.

Currently I think Cinccino and Arbok have the best chance of being good with more support, but it really is hard to be good when EXs are so oppressive in the game.

Rare candy would fix a lot of evolution decks, but would aggressively benefit mewtwo and charizard to the point of being unplayable (excluding being able to skip to EX, then only mewtwo would be made super good)

I was looking at the physical expansions and power creep is crazy. Cards with over 300 HP, evolution cards are basic, and so on. Back in my day...

I believe that the initial ruleset for TCG was 3 points but 6 prize cards total

so you could lose access to 4 of your cards for the entire game

and no EXes of course

I have hit the 1/5 in wonder picks so many times in the last couple days

even with this I am still missing two commons

Aren't the cinematic cards easier to pull than their regular variants? I have pulled four cinematic cards but none of their regular variants.

Three cinematic Charizard EX, one cinematic Mewtwo EX, and one non-gold full art Charizard EX but no regular ones.

I have 4 normal Charizard EXes and two cinematics

Well I got lucky today. First Articuno EX from wonder pick and first Pikachu EX from booster.

I got a Marowak EX as the second card in my pull

nothing else in that pack

the next wonder pick event has started

and I just got my first articuo card, but it wasn't EX

this event has better bonus picks but the other event ones have EXes in them so they cost 3 stamina

Just had a very satisfying random match. Mewtwo EX Deck vs Mewtwo EX Deck. My opponent pulls Mewtwo EX and Gastly first turn and plays Mewtwo EX. Meanwhile, I get Slowpoke and Farfetch'd and play Slowpoke. My opponent stacks energy onto their Mewtwo EX and evolves Gastly as I evolve Slowpoke. I also pull my Mewtwo EX from a Poke Ball and start stacking energies there. My opponent is very lucky and pulls their second Mewtwo EX, as well as Gengar EX and Gardevoir as their Mewtwo EX chips down by Slowbro. I am able to get the revenge KO with my Mewtwo EX as I evolve Ralts to Kirlia. I still don't have Gardevoir. My opponent plays Gengar EX so now I can't use the Sabrina in my hand, which could have ended the match much sooner. Due to their Gardevoir, they quickly are able to get three energy on Gengar EX and hit my Mewtwo EX. I have three energy on my Mewtwo EX, but next turn I would get KOed so I use an X Speed and switch to Farfetch'd, place an energy on it and attack. My opponent KOs my Farfetch'd and my only hope is to draw Gardevoir because Mewtwo EX only has two energy, and I do and win.

My opponent immediately concedes after seeing me evolve Kirlia.
