I view math is more geometric and shape based, not movement

I’m a civil engineer math is like part of the job
But it’s like number physics math
I see, I think thinking of math as geometry and shape based is weird, since that is basically just one subfield of math
my background for reference is I have a bacholers in mathematical physics, a masters in control theory, and am doing my PhD in information theory.
I think geometry math is neat, but I think there is a lot of more fundemental and amazing things beyond that
See in physics you break down vectors into lines right?
If you are doing newtonian physics

I think the physics that is cool is beyond first/second year intro to physics vector calc though personally
I am a really big fan of the Lagrangian formulation of physics
I think calculus of variations is very cool

These are the fundamentals of it, your physics wouldn’t exist without being built on top of it. Which is why the science I feel is dying because you cannot break it down into its foundation

Like yeah, if you go under the hood, almost all of physics is built off of group theory, rings/fields, differential geometry, measure theory, stochastic theory
you can always abstract it math wise more

Basic geometry is a foundational element. The vectors are built on top of the geometry crossing into physics with motion.
I think I agree with Spark Dragon, but I think Pika is arguing a different point

then yes, acknowledging that is founded on very basic concepts is valid

Yeah, Spooky put it better. Parts of physics absolutely are built on just geometry for the most part
even if you can distil/abstract deep concepts as that (most of the time)
but that is just a shallow depth look at physics
