I see, I think thinking of math as geometry and shape based is weird, since that is basically just one subfield of math
my background for reference is I have a bacholers in mathematical physics, a masters in control theory, and am doing my PhD in information theory.
I think geometry math is neat, but I think there is a lot of more fundemental and amazing things beyond that

I think the physics that is cool is beyond first/second year intro to physics vector calc though personally
I am a really big fan of the Lagrangian formulation of physics

These are the fundamentals of it, your physics wouldn’t exist without being built on top of it. Which is why the science I feel is dying because you cannot break it down into its foundation

Basic geometry is a foundational element. The vectors are built on top of the geometry crossing into physics with motion.
I think I agree with Spark Dragon, but I think Pika is arguing a different point

even if you can distil/abstract deep concepts as that (most of the time)
but that is just a shallow depth look at physics

There are literal classical physics problems that Newtonian physics cannot solve, not even getting into weird stochastic thermal stuff, GR, or Quantum
But Lagrangian mechanics, also a tool of classical physics, can deal with them
which is a theory of differential equations, not geometry and vector analysis

I think it's doing a lot of heavy lifting to say the field of "geometry" covers everything in the physical world
When you break down the problems in physics some part of geometry is almost always used. If you go into the subtypes of physics which shouldn’t be apart of physics anymore then yes there is more interesting things but it is basically building ethereal blocks on top of one another
