my problem with index is I don't remember some of the arcs when I think about the show

It didn't know if it wanted to be serious or comedic

yeah

index is not memorable at all for me

and it was one of the first shows i ever watched

I'm going to bed but I'll try to watch the OVA and specials tomorrow

I liked them they were good

The EDs though

EDs are not memorable

as we have discovered

For me it's the opposite

I like the EDs

but I never can place them

I still have the Eds stuck in my head

From first arc

I can't even imagine how, but I guess everybody watches shows in a different way

railgun and index have very different vibes

the only take I have heard that made me question it

was syren liked index 1 more than railgun 2

i would describe it as

index has a theatre vibe, railgun has a novel vibe

like index feels like actors walking around a stage with paper props sorta

railgun feels more like book-esque

kinda because it is

index is a light novel, railgun is a manga, so I think its more concrete as to placement and stuff

because lns are mostly text as far as I know

i'll hold off on the 2 hour rant for the sake of pika's sleep

because it just has the most solid harem

ok seriously how is railgun the one with tone issues and getting derailed. index is literally just touma showing up somewhere, magically guessing the villain's whole exigence and life story, then punching them in the face, x 4.

When I say tone, I mean jumping from super serious to light hearted slice of life fun the next episode while the ongoing arc hasn't been resolved.

watch it then you can do the tierlist with pirate and me

and maybe vinny if he watches it in a reasonable amount of time

Isn’t there like a reboot or something

it goes like this

to love-ru -> motto to love-ru -> darkness -> darkness 2 and I think there are OVA's \ OAD's inbetween each one that you want to watch too

each of the 3 entries is a bit distinct from the others as far as tone and adaptation style goes

but they do go in a linear pattern, no remake/reboot or anything

the original show

is its own thing though

while the plot is continuous, it is its own complete story

motto is more like a side story

darkness is its own overarching plot

Hm ok

and yeah

every season has OVAs

that are cannon

and continue the story

so you have to watch them

I guess I heard that and assumed darkness was kinda the same thing as the og show or something

they usually have lower resolution though so

the original show is honest the best one

from a story standpoint

it is complete

I like the twin sister characters that get introduced later though

so the harem itself is at its peak in darkness
