Depends on the lineup. I just assumed you were since Overture and Golden Wings were both released between seasons 2 and 3. Also it took a long time for anyone to specify that they were talking about Golden Wings.

I was trying not to spoil it for the bachelor party, since I find it hilarious the idea that someone would show off Overture to other people thinking they're having the others get into mid-series weirdness, when actually they're just watching a remake of the first two episodes, with a bunch of extra scenes taking place before the battle.

This movie was so fucking goofy, the first half of the movie was just a slice of life dating arc where gobta got a girlfriend and hung out with here, then the second half was just shonen battle slop with a really funny ending
this entire sequence is ~5 minutes long, and continues to reuse the same fight and mindrape loops over and over again
yeah, its pretty funny
so cutting just the cool wolf segments is hard
without also getting random other stuff
I'm really behind on Slime, but decided to watch the movie because why the fuck not
Technically the movie is important for the current season
(not really they redo the part of the end of the movie that is relevant)
Partially because this season is so good, and partially because I'm more busy than usual rn
There is a 0% chance I actually keep up with anything other than my top shows
Sayonara Lara is the best non-sequel still
And Dragon Cat (Neko to Ryuu) is my biggest surprise

Yep, he's adapting parts of Redundancy
it was mostly vibes last week based on the way he was focusing on certain things
but this week there's an entire scene from Redundancy 1
It's more of a short story collection
This entire episode was an add-in to the main series
The parts with Sarah, Alyssa, Grace, and the Princess are all from a LN interlude
and then the Eris scene is from Redundancy 1

E1 was literally the best episode of anime that season
at some point 15 volumes in, you realize you did a bad job setting everything up, and benefit from a do-over
I will have to rewatch assassin whenever the S2 they announced is actually coming out, maybe I will be less mad at it the second time

A lot of recent shows I've liked (and some mangas too) have also had similar issues
At some point they fail at executing a basic story balance, and then make up for it by overcorrecting and speedrunning to some "payoff"
