Tongari Boushi no Atelier - Marinate1016's Review

Woke is back and better than ever baby. If you’re one of those people who thinks LGBT themes in anime is western propaganda and want to keep your Japanese media pure and weird, Frieren, Blue Archive and K-on or whatever the right wing larpers are pretending to care about are down the hall. Witch Hat Atelier is unapologetically “woke” but n...

Witch Hat Atelier is unapologetically “woke” but not in an over the top caricature sort of way, it all makes sense within the context of the story and it couldn’t have come at a more important time given the current state of the world.

I'm getting the same thumbnail. Also cause of thumb nail is why I didn't watch it when I first saw thumbnail also >Says shows can have good world building even if they use bog-standard races. >Uses season 3 of Reincarnated as a Slime as his example. A show that >>A I never watched >>B I never watched because I assumed it would have bad world building >>C is the third season of a show I never watched. It's par for the course for shows to get decent world building so many seasons into a show.

Like, I don't want to get 3 seasons deep into a show just to experience "good" world building. Who knows how many years of watching that is when you're waiting for the series to be released?

Pyrrhic, you are like my friends in England who are by default always sarcastic or joking, but I have such a horrible time knowing if you are that I just think every single thing you say is bait

Strangest cliffhanger I ever saw was Lies Weeping, the most recent Black Company book. It just ends in the middle of an action sequence. And it doesn't have the excuse of being an anime adaptation of another work that has the excuse of the publisher saying "YOU WILL ADAPT THIS MANY EPISODES FOR THIS PARTICULAR BOOK". Glen Cook was just really into light novels at the time and wanted to be experimental, and copy their arbitrary end points.

Just realised Yu Yu Hakushou has the same plot as Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It's about a guy who is supposed to be a detective but never does any detective work.

Wish anime pirate sites weren't so picky over what they considered anime. If it shows up on Toonami then it's anime. Can't find my Transformers Armada, He Man and the Masters of the Universe (2002), or my Batman of the Future. And yes I'm only grumpy because watching the Masters of the Universe film put me into the mood of watching a show I never really watched.

But Toonami means "japanese STAR cartoons". It's what I said to my sister whenever she tried to watch The Bill of the 7 30 report which was on at the same time, as she tried to dismiss what I was watching. And I always emphasised the word star. Also I only listed 3 shows.

I was so hyped for tonight's episode of Re Zero, I took an energy drink to stay up for it to air. Now I find out episode 12 of the 4th season is coming out in 2 months.
