Replying to Pyrrhic #swiss_army_cheese https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwKNrL2n7nM I was watching this video essay on a Death Note seen, and it makes a really dumb tangent going on about the "kuleshov effect", which is a technique this essay acknowledges wasn't even used. (i.e. cutting back to a reaction shot that you already used to mean something else). And it then proceeds to go "BUT WHAT IF THEY DID DO IT, WHAT WOULD THE SCENE MEAN THEN" I'm like "The fuck" if you're going to analyze the shot composition of a work, and you yourself change the shots used in this composition, at that point you're just analyzing your own fanfiction.
Not to be that guy but you could have saved us all some time by mentioning it was a woman that made the video
