Watched up to episode nine of 86, its really good and basically what I wished Aldnoah Zero had been

my only gripe is how they waste manpower and materials on a doomed strategy (which im not sure anyone bothered to explain to them?)

If by them wasting manpower and materials you mean the alba doing the weird warrior class thing, the in universe explanation is that they believe the robots have a time limit that is about to run out, and they want to make sure all the 86 are dead just about at the same time the robot timelimit runs out

materials wise, they also explain that for the most part the stuff they give them is flimsy pieces of crap that gets most people who get into them killed right away

Episode 9 would have been an alright end to the season, followed by 11, then where it actually ended on like 23 or whatever

I meant that they reveal that the Legion have begun to replenish their numbers and extend their lifespan via the "souls" of the enemy dead. If Republic High Command knows about this then their strategy of waiting it out is null and void and so they're just being wasteful with the few 86 they have left. If they dont know about it then why did no one send this crucial information up the chain?

The 86 were fine with the alba being wiped out so they had no incentive to tell them

idk about being fine with it. They have that one speech about fighting for the few good Alba being worth it, and they could just let the Legion through but refuse to since the republich is still their home

Outside of shin's squad, I don't think anyone else knew about the robots not having the time limit thing

In other anime news unrelated to this. The chainsaw man recap movies came out, they did not credit the original series director, and reddit/western anime fans are angry that they changed the tone of the show to be more in line with what the japanese fans wanted

Ended up seeing this with some friends last minute, it was pretty good despite being 2 and a half hours

Also they ran out of the sword cups, so it was kinda ruined

I did not do that, but I did see some insane post claiming the dub was so good they didn't realize for the first 20 minutes of the film that they were not watching it subbed

I was invited like 20 minutes before the start time, so I had no choice, but I saw the dub in imax. It wasnt horrible, I haven't watched anything dubbed in awhile

Wish ufotable would do another Fate project, but it will never be as much of a global money printer as Demon Slayer ig

I doubt they are ever doing more fate, they finished the stay night arc (including prequel)

Yea i also dont think itll ever happen, Nasu (I think) has said multiple times they're happy with the Studio Deen adaptation and have no plans to remake it

I thought the deen adaptation was fine

I do aswell, but its complained about by some fans.

You quickly learn that every time there is something with an original source, it will be complained about not being as good regardless of the actual quality of the work

manga readers are also very eager to spoil stuff

Being a manga reader is pretty annoying because I have to ask my friends to give a synopsis of where the anime is so I dont spoil

The trick is just to not internalize spoilers whatsoever

I know the ending of demon slayer and have watched none of the show

Spooky will often be in vc and ask if he can spoil some show I am currently watching, and I do not remember any of the spoilers he has ever told me
